Here’s a new twist on an old drinking game. This shot glass is powered by a 1 GB USB drive that goes into the bottom of the shot glass. The USB drive contains the Power Hour Album, which features 60 one minute drinking songs from drinking game guy Ali Spagnola. That equals an hour. Get it?

The idea is that you drink a shot of beer every time the song changes. That should get you good and pissed in no time. You get songs like “I’m Fine Occifer” and “You Won’t Remember This Song.” The shot glass also has a lanyard, which will come in handy as you are staggering about and puking. Once you wipe off your face and fall on your butt, you’ll notice that the shot glass is still attached to you, and then you can drink some more.

Mario Lukas apparently likes to read his memos on toilet paper, since he created this printer that uses toilet paper rolls instead of traditional A4 sheets. Lukas created this TP printer as an entry in a hardware hacking contest called “Mach flott den Schrott” that was being held by German technology magazine c’t.


It’s made with old printer parts and Lukas even gave it an Ethernet port so that he can control what he prints. He designed it mostly to print Tweets and Facebook posts(the content of which is usually suited to just this type of paper) but it can also print RSS feeds. Need to add more paper? Just head down to the local store and buy an 8 pack of TP. Put half away for yourself and half away for the printer, then open the side of the printer and put it in.

Pretty cool. If only it could print it and put it back on a tube. Then you could print your own custom toilet paper and sell rolls.

The stylus ballpoint pen is a clever product, but Griffin does Monteverde one better by incorporating a third device. The Stylus + Pen + Laser Pointer is a stylus, pen and a laser pointer all in one. Imagine that. Seriously though I’d rather have plain names like that than the usual array of letters and numbers in many product models. But I hope Griffin doesn’t expect us to pronounce each “+” in this thing’s name.

In its default state, you’ll find the conductive tip at one end and the laser pointer on the other end near the clip. Simply pop off the stylus half to reveal the refillable pen. Here’s an unboxing of the product by Jordan Klekot:

Look, up in the sky. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s some guy in a wingsuit flying through a mountain. Stuntman Jeb Corliss has been using his Wingsuit since 2007, but this is one of his craziest stunts. Armed with his Wingsuit, a parachute, and a GoPro hero video camera, he flies through a hole in a Chinese mountain.


Basically, this guy is the closest thing we have to a Superman as he soars through the air. After jumping from a helicopter at 6,000 feet, Corliss casually flies through a narrow hole in Tianmen mountain, in Hunan Province, China.

The whole thing is accomplished perfectly and he lands safely with a parachute. This guy can really fly. Now, if he could just get up there without a helicopter, he could start fighting crime for us.

Originally modeled and designed on a computer, each die is 3D printed and then meticulously hand painted to create that worn out, aged, steamy, punky, steampunk look. It’s available in iron and bronze finish and uses cogs instead of pips. Because it would be hard to represent numbers with steam. What would 6 steams even look like? That’d just be 6 water molecules.

One reason why handheld video game consoles were (and are) so popular is because they’re extremely portable. Most of them can be folded up or kept in cases and then stowed away in a purse or backpack, ready to be taken out for another round of gaming when the opportunity arises.

But if you happen to have really fat fingers and are a pretty huge person overall, then you might appreciate having a larger of the gaming console. Pictured above is the wall-mounted gaming portable(?), although its case , which looks and plays just one of those old Game & Watch handheld video games.

I mean, if we’ve got giant iPhones (although limited in functionality) and giant bathing ladies, then why not a giant Game & Watch?

The giant Nintendo Game & Watch was made by Tobie Nortje for the reception area of 21tanks. It was built using a computer monitor embedded in the oversize case, while the buttons are connected to an Arduino control board. Signals are sent back and forth from the controls to a PC, allowing users to play games from the classic platform, in this case, powered by PicaPic.

I’ve been so lazy lately that I haven’t had the batteries of two of my wristwatches changed yet. So as things stand, they’re still lying on my dresser. I still wear them but they’re more like accessories now, since the batteries are already deader than dead.

So what’s an energy-saving alternative that will look hip, colorful, and futuristic on your wrist? It’s designer David Blanc’s Elusive watch that’s still quite elusive nowadays, considering that it’s not actually being manufactured yet.

Here’s another possible reason why the watch was named like so: the watch’s face is also elusive. That’s because it doesn’t have a face – just a hole where a face is supposed to be. This is where the battery-saving stuff comes in.

Instead of displaying the time on a LED or LCD 24/7 or having two hands running across it at any given moment, you have to insert your finger into the face to have it displayed: one finger for the time, and two for the date. After it’s triggered, the time would be projected onto your skin using a tiny, harmless laser beam. Pretty neat concept, eh?

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of Space Invaders-themed stuff. Although some aren’t things I’m very fond of (like the Space Invaders silk tie), there are some that I definitely think are worth getting (like the Space Invaders Alarm Clock and the Space Invaders Multi Tool.)

And another thing I really wouldn’t mind having?

This deck of playing cards from Art Lebedev Studios is made with a distinct Space Invaders theme. Instead of the usual Jokers and Kings and Queens, you get to throw out alien Aces to trump them all. The suite of each card is printed on it as well, below the letters or numbers indicating the card’s identity (I don’t how else to call them, but you know what I mean.)

The Kisai Rogue Touch watch is the latest TokyoFlash watch. It was previously featured on their blog as a concept last November, and now it’s become reality.

The Rogue Touch display is right out of science-fiction, so telling the time can seem a bit complicated. The outer ring tells time in one time zone, while the inner ring displays a secondary time zone.

You interact with the watch using a touchscreen face to change modes or set the watch, but it automatically locks after 60 seconds, and then you need to swipe your finger across the screen to reactivate it – a smart design choice.
